I’m in a bit of a pickle right now…
It’s hard to believe that after all these years, a mundane technical problem can effectively shut down your operation pretty effectively. My work computer, which has been getting on in age, recently lost the use of its final USB port. This being a laptop, I’ve been profoundly frustrated by the fact that I have no way to actually interface with my system to allow me to record my shows. In a sense, I am dead in the water right now.
Perhaps there is a simple and cheap solution I have overlooked (hence writing this post), but I fear the only real solution is to try a build a cheap desktop computer that has the ability to change any parts that become damaged so one part malfunctioning doesn’t cause this kind of bottleneck anymore.
Naturally, even a cheap computer is not in the budget, so perhaps you guys can help figure out a solution to this problem. Think of it as your crack dealer’s oven is broken, and he can’t produce more crack to pay for a new one. Do you see his dilemma, and how that is also your problem now?
NOTE: I may have found a solution thanks to a fan who wishes to remain anonymous. More info to follow later.
