Yeah, Einstein would be all about that creationism shit
Is this guy for real? You think Albert Einstein would be a creationist? You think this Spinozan would consider your quaint little religion the only true one? What kind of ballooned existence do you experience to say such idiocies? You are either a liar, having fabricated your fictitious idea with the intent on making it stick, or a farcical imbecile who has never bothered to read anything that contradicted his limited world view. I suppose both are probable, but for the sake of humanity, I hope it’s the latter. I really do.
Spread the outrage

What I don’t understand about the teach them both as theroies and let the child decide camp, is what sort of lesson plan they expect a scienece teacher to have for the creationism chapter.
“Alright, class, if you look at paragraph one of the single page pamphlet that will be your textbook for this section, you’ll see it says, ‘God did it.’ That’s the theroy of creationism covered. Guess we’ll just watch cat videos on the internet until the bell rings.”
Or would there be a section on how to willfully misrepresent both facts and the opinions of actual scientific thinkers to support the ignorant, backwards beliefs you insist upon clinging to?

It is so frustrating that the theory of evolution is still not accepted by these people. If you don’t think that evolution is correct, bring forward the evidence. Until then, shut up and accept that it is the theory that not only best fits the facts, but keeps on fitting the facts again and again.
Idiots!

Help! Somebody hit me in the back of the head! I rolled my eyes so far up they stuck that way! Oh, why didn’t I listen to my mother’s warning? And even more importantly, why did god design my eyes to get stuck like that?!
Aridawn
I always thought it would be a really stupid plan if the creationists/IDers got their way…I mean, the first thing these kids are going to do is ASK QUESTIONS! I would think the last thing fundies would want was an open forum for their children’s peers to debunk all their stupid ass “theories.” The first thing I’d do would be laugh and say, “People actually believe that?!” And I was always the nice one at school!
Darren Taggart
Wow. They need to forget about fundamentals of biology and focus on the basics of reading. Or they good just become a nation of cherry farmers; they’re ever so good at picking them!
I evolved from an ape, whats your excuse?
I feel like i’m taking crazy pills sometimes! There is so much proof for the theory of evolution we should all stop calling it a theory and just refer to it as ” the fact of evolution” it makes me crazy with nonsense because you don’t even have to look outside of our own bodies for proof of evolution. We have an appendix today that we don’t use, why? because years and decades ago our bodies could not produce a certain enzyme to break down certain foods. We have an appendix because it attracted bacteria that secreted the enzyme for us, now we produce it naturally without the help of bacteria. If that’s not enough for you creationists then you should just shut the hell up you sheep. Also go to a museum and look at a whale skeleton, they have a PELVIC BONE for crying out loud. Like I said, there’s so much proof out there.
Jim
Dude, Einstein was a creationist. One of his main objections to Max Planck and his quantum theory was that “God does not play dice”.
He may have been an extremely bright synaesthesiac aspergers case, but he obviously lacked a certain level of critical thought.

Einstein was asked to what extent he was influenced by Christianity, to which Einstein replied as follows, “As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene.”
Einstein was then asked if he accepted the “historical existence of Jesus,” to which he replied, “Unquestionably! No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.”
Fraser Davidson
This guy wears his ignorance like a golden fucking crown.
Jim
Fraser Davidson? As in, animator for Tim Minchin Fraser Davidson??
Richard
I can’t take a guy who says “critical thanker” seriously.
Darren Taggart
Jim, I thought Einstein said that about the uncertainty principle, which was Heisenberg’s thing wasn’t it? Plank said that there were discrete energy levels, which Einstein showed via the photo-electric effect. They seemed very much on the same page. Nobel gave him a prize and everything.
Einstein is one of the most misquoted people in history and even if he did say what you say he said about Jesus, how can you infer he was pro-creationism? Is it possible you’re as wrong about that as you are about quantum theory history?
He certainly believed in a unverse that existed prior to 10000 years ago, or he wouldn’t have believed that object further than 10000 ly away would be visable.
Give that Einstein research another go.
Kyle
Jim, you are profoundly misinformed as to what Einstein believed.
Yes, he did say those things, and he did object to being called an atheist, but he certinally did not believe in a deity that existed as a willful prime mover.
“I believe in Spinoza’s God, who reveals himself in the lawful harmony of all that exists, but not in a God who concerns himself with the fate and the doings of mankind.”
Here’s an excellent article on the subject that was published in TIME a few years back: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1607298,00.html
Also, there’s the gentleman’s Credo, which was intended to illuminate his views:

Yup, thats me Jim. The lowest grade minor celebrity on Earth.
Aridawn
Ahhh…Fraser…I’m SURE there is someone lower…not Rebecca Black…but someone! I’ll keep looking for you. (I say this is love)
Aridawn
in…not is…
Daniel DiPietro
I thought Albert Einstein was Jewish. So how can he believe that a “broader knowledge” will lead you to christianity?
nick
“God does not play dice” could easily have been a metaphor to mean that Einstein did not believe in randomness in quantum physics.
