God, take over the media!

March 12, 2010 1:07 pm

Take from the unrighteous, and give the media over to the crazy Christian fundies, Oh Lord! Don’t you know that with your super magic you can simply change things and make it easier for the blatantly ignorant to spread the message that we all better love you before you throw us into hellfire. Three cheers for the prince of peace!

She was praying for control of the media.

I was praying she would fall off the stage from walking around with her eyes closed.

Yknow, if she got her way, she wouldn’t be able to do what she’s doing.

Christian fundies do not like women pastors.

I don’t think she red the bible herself. Lets go to Corinthians 14:34-35. Which says,

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

It’s so funny to see how pastors really don’t real the Bible but pick and choose what they like in it.

If they get CBS for the Christian Broadcast System, can we have ABC?

That was not a prayer. That was a rant couched in prayer. These people are fucking scary. Notice how she talks about taking from the unrighteous and giving it to the “righteous”. What she really means is “take stuff away from people who don’t believe like us and give it to people like me who know what you really want god”.

The sad thing is that the simple minded really fall for this shit!!! People are really serious and they really want to take over the world. They really believe that they are on a mission to take the world for jebus. I used to run with people like this. Trust me, they are fucking obsessed with this idea and they WILL NOT give up anytime soon. These fanatics would rather die then give up. Something needs to be done to push back against these assholes.

Did I hear her correctly? Did she say something to the effect of:

“Dear God, Please take all that stuff away from other people and give it to me. Thanks!”

That’s her version of Christianity? Don’t bother working, just believe in God and all sorts of things will just magically fall into your hands?

    Well, that sucks.

she wont get what she wants as prayer doesnt work. To get anything done you need to put in work, christians think that if they believe, things will happen for them. fundamentally wrong, how can you expect to get CBS for free by asking your imaginary friend. Its scary what they want, however i dont expect it will happen. If prayer were to work like that then what would stop her for praying to GOD to butter her toast in the morning. that mindset is weak and immature.

Yes, prayer doesn’t work but these people will stop at nothing to continue to spread their stupid little ideas to others. The sadder part is that society keeps giving religious people a pass and treating them special.

If society were to start looking at these people as if they just said that they still believe in santa claus then perhaps being religious would lose its appeal.

The solution, I think, is for us nonbelievers to start talking about what can be had as unbelievers without all the superstitious belief in a god. We need to start talking about how to live the “good life” and stop simply reacting to these whackos. As long as we are on the defensive and not on the offensive, we will always be seen as reactionaries instead of a viable alternative to the bullshit that they espouse. This reactionary status is what, in my opinion, is what keeps us sidelined in gaining a hearing.
