Podcast

Welcome back to another episode of the Good Atheist podcast. This week Carisa and I talk about how Utah wants to lock up pregnant women who have miscarriages, how Miss “Beverly hills” is a racist piece of shit, and a Virginia representative who thinks birth defects are a curse from God. Don’t miss out!

Remember, if you love the show, there’s also a bonus podcast, but you can only access it if you’re a member. Luckily, it’s only 20 bucks a year, and you gain access to all the backlog of shows (now over 43). It’s a great deal, and helps us stay in business. Become a member today!

I always thought that the C was useless, I thought I was the only one who thought this! Great minds think similar.

  2. Deus ex Machina Says:

Great podcast as allways. I think Carisa´s voice is really hot and that makes the whole talk alot more apealing. Also, for some reason the podcast ends abruptly at minute 20 something.

  3. Carisa Hendrix Says:

That was the point were I pointed to the computer cause I thought it wasn’t recording. My Bad!

  4. Goon Says:

Carisa was wrong twice. The voice is hot, the libertarianism is not :)

  5. Impy Says:

I’m gonna rock the boat here and go ahead and say I think Jacobs voice is hot!

  6. WCLPeter Says:

I’m going to put my vote in for Carisa’s sweet sexy voice; its not whiny and nasal sounding at all. The only sad thing about her being on the show is that Jacob won’t shut up long enough to let us hear it. ;-) Normally I don’t mind as he always has something interesting to say but I’ve been *really* enjoying TGA lately, everyone at work wants to know what I’m listening to in the lunch room that makes me all smiley like a schoolboy.

In light of that I think Carisa needs to start her own podcast, “Carisa Reading Stuff”. It’ll be a 30 minute weekly podcast where you read whatever you want. Really anything will do, anything at all. I just want to have that gentle sweet voice pumped into my ears for half an hour each week.

Then we can have the “Carisa Talking ‘Bout Stuff” podcast. Same format, you get the deal. ;-)

In all seriousness though about the “content”: Gotta love those crazed Utahnians, throw a pregnant girl in jail for having a miscarriage; talk about a miscarriage of justice to kick a woman during a traumatic period in her life. And of course you just *know* some asshat is going to try and charge a woman who uses the Morning After Pill with being reckless. ;-(

  7. Don Birren Says:

Finally someone has something intelligent to write. Thanks, Peter.

If someone thinks gay people should be put to death because the bible says so, should also be for executing women who go to church during their periods (among other heinous crimes).

  8. joe botelho Says:

what about the “carisa bubble bath cast”. Or “the carisa and the fat and hairy slighty balding married guy rubs her feet in the bathtub cast”

Thank Darwin that my wife never comes on this site.

  9. WCLPeter Says:

    Don,

Yeah, I didn’t even cover that. I remember reading about this on another site, and listened to Dan Savage tear her a new one on his Podcast, so I went and looked it up for myself. For a person who so strongly believe the word of God that she would publicly call for the mass execution of homosexuals, Miss Beverley Hills should really brush up on her bible. In particular, this part:

    http://net.bible.org/bible.php?book=1Ti&chapter=2

As a fashion model and beauty pageant contestant she really needs to just shut the frell up, be more modest, and quietly follow the word of God like he commands her to.

And to all you you freethinking ladies out there, feel free to keep on talking, and talking, and talking. ;-)

  10. Dave P Says:

How about trying to get Miss Beverley Hills on the show – or at least try to interview her? It would be interesting to hear her views on the rest of Timothy, as well as the anti-gay bits. You can guarantee that she has not even read her Bible, and that she has merely been drip-fed the bits that trip so lightly off her tongue.
