Why do we loath baby Jesus?

Oh fellow atheists, why do we loath baby Jesus? It must be because we are so jealous of Christmas that we can’t stand the idea of anyone celebrating it. What absolute nonsense. People have been celebrating the winter solstice way before Christians tried to “patent” it, and even with the religious undertones of the holiday, I would hardly classify my annoyance as hatred. Also, Gretchen Carlson is painful to listen to. She should stick to just playing the violin rather than share her stupid opinions.

I can’t watch this. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I really don’t like that man. He doesn’t even realize the real reasons people hate him.

“Why is the American Humanist Society doing this,” a question bill asked several times. I can’t help but answer to myself… why don’t you ask them Bill? I don’t see why those three minutes even aired, there was nothing there but the deranged rants of three idiots. I’m surprised but I know I shouldn’t be, I thought they’d at least get someone from the organization on and have one of their “fair and balanced” debates, but even that was too much.

Did he ever even look at the billboards? A guy in a santa suit asking you to be good for goodness sake is not attacking little baby jesus, or even xmas for that matter. Razzle, you are right – dude is incredulous and has no idea what an idiot he is.

    “winter solstice” ?

    Zombie Jesus

“…they could attack the 11 other months of the year…”

    We do.

“I think the group has a problem with some of America’s cultural traditions.”

I’m not going to argue this one. Here’s a man you may have heard of with his take, Mr. Barack Obama: “…we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation.” Sucks to be you.

The sign is telling people to be good for the benefit of humanity instead of appeasing the Sky God. Is that punishable by death yet? Maybe in Texas.

I’ll step up and say it for the PC atheists among us…Yes we do hate baby Jesus!

Every time i walk by a Nativity scene i feel like kicking that baby in it’s stupid face.

Wow that felt good to say out loud.

Also i think Mary looks hot leaning over the manger.

You know what really scares me, Gretchen Carlson actually made a good point during this… whatever you call it.

Wow… I agree with the shrill woman who calls him nuts.

Does he honestly think that atheists don’t celebrate the holiday with their family? I’m taking a day off work to go home and spend the weekend with my family. They’re fiercely religious, I’m an atheist, I will still spend the time with them and be happy and joyful.

Fully atheist families probably do the same exact thing. They just, like the woman said, don’t focus it on ‘Baby’ Jesus – which totally reminds me of that scene in Talladega Nights. O’Reilly is a nutcase if he thinks otherwise.

(And for the record, I can’t stand Bill Maher and Rosie O’Donnell)

    Ace.

    @ joe
Why do you think that? And more importantly why is that a PC statement?!

Im an atheist and i like to consider myself well informed, however i don’t infringe on others’ beliefs, the same way i don’t want them to press their way of thinking onto me.
What use is it being an atheist saying “i don’t believe in your concept of a religion” if you’re no better than them trying to ‘convert’ or rather getting them to give up the faith they have. You’re doing the same thing they are by being intolerant.

At the end of the day, the baby displayed in the manger scenes is just another innocent baby, even if christians do believe thats jesus the ‘saviour’. Are you a baby kicker in general Joe?

    @Ace – lrn 2 sarcasm

@kevin – sorry explain? I dont get what you mean. (its a slow morning).

    Kevin

I think Joe was making a joke.

  • avatar

    Ace.

Ah, in that case, apologies if i spoke out of turn (i didnt see that as ‘funny’), but ive had people fire at me because they do think that us atheists actually do feel like that. Hence my fire.
Although i hope you do notice my point about the belief systems i.e. ‘conversion’ left right and centre. The atheist demographic is wider than most think.

Bill has a good suggestion, they should do an ad campaign during Ramadan as well. “No god? …No problem! Now go eat something.”

  • avatar

    Kevin

    @Ace:

Yeah, I do actually agree, to the point where this ad campaign kind of rubs me the wrong way. It’s almost to the same degree as someone slapping a ‘Celebrate the birth of baby Jesus!’ poster up on a public space.

But for the matter of the video, O’Reilly is a nutcase and totally incorrect about atheism. I think that’s a problem that a lot of Christians have, though. They honestly think that atheists are depressed, unimaginative, immoral, and selfish.

For the record i have only kicked Baby Jesus staues never baby actors portraying the role of Baby Jesus.

“Bill has a good suggestion, they should do an ad campaign during Ramadan as well. “No god? …No problem! Now go eat something.””

Well Jordan i would suggest eating PUSSY. If more muslim men ate some vag then there would be less jihads/bombings and all toghther hatingn in the world.

We ad this problem in the UK – the signs on our buses were ‘there probably is no god, so don’t worry about it’…. this was funny. Caused a bit of a stir. Bloody Christians got on their high horses about it but generally no one gave a damn. I am all for Atheists coming out. I get so fed up with people pandering to religious whims all of the time….

    Jared

this is nuts, my family is atheist and we do a similar gift giving thing that Christians do we just do it on the solstice.

    Jeff Horn

I love stern Gretchen becomes as she alarms the world: “Have you looked at the polls recently? More and more Americans are atheists or agnostic.” Goddamn she’s awful.

Personally, I loathe Baby Jesus because he makes Baby Aisha cry, which in turn makes Old Man Muhammad cry. ….Gross…..

  • avatar

    omg

They’re just trying to let people know, that you don’t need to religion to be happy. We don’t hate religion. We just don’t want others to stuff their religion down our throath.
