NASA forced to dispel fears over 2012 movie

NASA has recently issued a statement calling on the public not to worry about the movie 2012 being scientifically accurate. Really? Is it just me or is the human race insanely stupid? We’re not even into the next decade, and already a bunch of very ignorant and scared people are threatening to take their own lives over the most insane pseudoscience in the Universe. Can we all stop being so concerned about our annihilation? Yes, we’re all going to die (some day); just be fucking grateful you’re alive and stop being afraid of shadows, morons!

Sadly, no. It’s not just you. The human race really *is* that insanely stupid. I say, let the morons kill themselves! Our gene pool could use a good cleaning… And maybe a dash or two of chlorine, if I may be so bold.

I saw that movie. It was good, but insanely unrealistic. I guess that’s why they call it FICTION.

Why would you want to kill yourself? If the world was going to end wouldn’t you want to be around to see it?

This reminds me of the movie that has recently been released “The Fourth Kind”. They are claiming this movie to be fact. However it is know that universal has released a lot of false documents for their marketing scheme. My roommate came home and was like “wow i cant believe this is happening and no one knew about it until now. I was like “Wait a minute, are you believing this shit?!! It just goes to show that the masses will believe anything that a movie or television tells them is true. Its like no one is being skeptical anymore and just believing everything they here hellooo…. Religion…

Without reading anything about it, I’m gonna assume that people have the fear that because the success of this shitty movie, they will continue to make more shitty movies like it.

I’m just gonna assume – again without finding out, that NASA came up with an algorithm that proves that no matter how well 2012 does, there won’t be a load of shitty movies like it coming out.

I think said believers (at least of christianity) need to take another look at the Book of Revelation. That’s enough apocolyptic (did i spell that right?) trouble for one lifetime thank you.

I have this annoying bitch in my Physical Science class who keeps bringing up this topic. Every time she mentions it, it makes me want to break her nose.

However, I’m a gentleman, so I just tell her she’s a dumbass instead. lol

Sadly, this is not going to have any effect, cause they’re instead going to say it’s just a NASA conspiracy!!!

Yes, the movie 2012 is going to going to be a real “crowed pleasure” in the hits, but thats how they make their money. A lot of people sure believe in a lot of superstitions. And/or sometimes as simple of all things, coincidences, happening around them. Even if they could imagine at the very least a fraction of natural forces at bay compared to what understandably could happen but will with 99.9% assurance never happen, ever.

As far as I’m concerned however, he’s wrong about the furthest known planet, but I don’t concern myself with the scientific evidence because it hasn’t been discovered yet.

    …does that explain religion?

And as far as I’m concerned, let natural selection happen, we need to be scared as far as to say shitless to simply end it in fear of the “inevitable”. But are we having enough of it?

You have to love how he’s sitting there, pretty much down talking his audience, assuming we’re idiots. HAHAH

I swear the government aren’t any closer to knowing more then your average group of its citizens know. But why, they have money, control, property… I’m sure they have ability to violate your personal rights and freedoms 100 fold.

Zac – I’m kind of creeped out by your comment, your best bet is to keep those sort of shit on the very “down low”… sorry to have to tell you that.

@Barry D: I think he’s talking simple because of the point he stated about halfway through – kids are writing him in fear. He’s got a wide range audience, children and adults, so he has to talk down to them to tell them in as easily understood as possible “there is no threat.”
