CNN really is a bunch of goat fuckers

What’s the stupidest, most inane and least educated way for a wannabe science journalist to off a story about a new fossil discovery? How about this:

- Scientists say a very rare find of some 20 fossilized pterodactyls has produced the first clear evidence of a controversial theory of evolution.

Say what, son? Are you suggesting this fossil discovery changes anything at all about the solidity of evolutionary theory? It’s pretty clear here why no one trusts mainstream media anymore. They can’t report on a Popsicle stand opening without fumbling the ball.  Now I realize this is just hack journalism, but not even Timecube gets it this embarrassingly wrong! Next time before you force an intern to write science news for you, make sure he didn’t graduate from Liberty University or something.

(thanks for the link James. My eyes are still burning)

This just about makes me want to cry in frustration. (Though, in my defense I’m sick and still working at 6:30pm after starting at 8am.)

The real problem is hard science is just not sexy enough for the mainstream public. Not to mention your average anchor is nothing more than a script reading robot.

Its talking about a specific theory of evolution not the overall theory. And that specific theory is the controversial one not the overall theory, jerks.

If Fox News said this, you would call them a bunch of assholes, or something, but since CNN said it….. oh wait….. Goat fuckers. LOLz

its still misleading journalism. the line refers to ‘a’ controversial theory of evolution, which if its your opening line, has the public read that this was the first time that the theory itself has had clear proof.

and besides, CNN has really been having a bit too much fun with goats for awhile now

Yea harmer, agreed. They aren’t using the language effectively if their point is vague at best and a lie at the worst. Even if their goal was to lie they left too much doubt as to their meaning.

BAD USE OF THE LANGUAGE CNN!!
