I, too, have had similar thoughts.  And I don&#039;t know what the answer is... but the discourse is refreshing and needed.

I think we need to ask ourselves some questions.  What are our goals?  Are they selfish goals of societal acceptance?  Are they grand goals of spreading a secular view to the masses?

The answer to these questions (and more) will mold the direction that we should take.  I&#039;ve outlined my thoughts in a couple pieces that are quite old... but I suppose they may still be worth a glance.
