Where’s all the upbeat music about not believing in God? I know we have a bunch of emo metal people screaming about God being dead and all. But where’s all that positive music talking about how great it is to be an atheist???
one reason is the bands I pointed out don’t give a shit if they piss off Midwestern conservative listeners. Any really popular pop band that came out with an atheist anthem would be laughed off the air waves by clear channel.
That song is a big old boatload of awesome, and I am going to be bouncing around to it playing in my head for the next few hours.
I’m a fan of the bitter, heavier stuff, but I would like to hear some corny happy positive music about not being stuck on religion. Letting go of that sort of belief has certainly brought more happiness to my life anyway. Maybe Roy Zimmerman could cobble together some sort of bouncy happy atheist musical group, with coordinated outfits and all. Roller skating backup singers would really make it shine.

People come from apes,
I come from Canada.”
BNL’s nod to evolution in their new upbeat CHILDREN’S Album (“Snacktime”)- I’m all for that. (Song is “Raisins”)
